2006-09-27Secondary TLD nameserver .AT in NIX.CZ

The administrator of .AT top level domain (NIC.AT) has chosen NIX.CZ peering node as one of the locations for their secondary domain nameservers. NIX.CZ traffic has currently exceeded 15 Gbps, which positions NIX.CZ among 10 largest peering exchanges in Europe, measured by traffic.

NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o. (professional association of legal entities) is an association of notable Czech Internet Service Providers (ISP). The objective of the association is to support a neutral interchange (peering) node (Neutral Internet Exchange), facilitating mutual interconnection of member Internet networks (peering). Another objective is the protection of common interests of Inernet-type network operators in Czech Republic.
