2007-01-04NIX.CZ at the beginning of 2007

The general assembly of NIX.CZ held on 12/14/2006 has agreed upon a substantial setup fee reduction for 10 Gbps connections to CZK 70000 (approx. EUR 2462) without VAT. During 2007 we expect approximately 6 new 10 Gbps connections (there are 7 currently).

Today, on 1/4/2007 a 10 Gbps technology upgrade process has been finished at the NIX3 node. It means that it is possible to connect at 10/100/1000/10000 Mbps speeds in all NIX.CZ nodes.

NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o. (professional association of legal entities) is an association of notable Czech Internet Service Providers (ISP). The objective of the association is to support a neutral interchange (peering) node (Neutral Internet Exchange), facilitating mutual interconnection of member Internet networks (peering). Another objective is the protection of common interests of Inernet-type network operators in Czech Republic.
