2008-12-17NIX.CZ Association General Meeting

The regular general meeting of the members of NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o. Association was held on 16 December 2008 in Prague.

The General Meeting passed the pricelist and the budget of the NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o. Association. The prices for the services in 2009 remain on the same level as in 2009. For the TLD services the change of prices expresses increasing energy costs. In the field of technology the anticipated budget of the association counts with further dynamic network infrastructure development, especially with the strengthening of hardware in the existing locations. In marketing, the estimated budget counts among others with the Euro-IX 2009 forum hosting.

The General Meeting passed the change of the Articles of Association as amended by the proposal of the NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o. Association. The change of the Articles of Association adjusts the principle of voting of the association members with the aim of simplifying the existing voting system. In relation to the change of the Articles of Association, the change of the proceedings and voting system of the association was passed.

The General Meeting of the association proposed and selected new Board of Directors; proposed candidates were selected in the first round. The current structure of the Board of Directors of NIX.CZ:

Mgr. Josef Chomyn – chairman of the board of directors
Milan Švácha – vice-chairman of the board of directors
Mgr. Ondřej Filip – member of the board of directors


About the NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o.

NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o. (Proffesional Association of Legal Entities) associates important Czech and foreign Internet providers (ISP) and other Internet related businesses. The aim of the association is to secure the operation of a Neutral Internet Exchange, which allows mutual connection of Internet networks of individual members/customers (peering). NIX.CZ is a member of the association of European peering association Euro-IX; in 2009 it will host the Euro-IX 2009 forum in Prague. Currently the data flow though the NIX.CZ infrastructure is getting close to the border of 70 Gb/s which in this regard puts the association on the seventh place in Europe.
