NIX.CZ Association, operating the largest Internet Exchange Point in the Czech Republic, participates in the organization of the 60th RIPE Meeting, which takes place from 3rd to 7th May 2010 in Prague. Besides presenting recent developments in the field, NIX.CZ Association will play the role of the sponsor of the evening social gathering which follows the conference day on Tuesday. The host of the RIPE Meeting in Prague is the CZ.NIC Association, the administrator of the .cz domain.
The RIPE 60 conference is a five-day meeting of key players in the field of Internet, operating in the area administered by the RIPE Company (Réseaux IP Européens). The program of RIPE 60 consists, as usual, of seminars on the administration of RIPE NCC database systems, the implementation of the IPv6 protocol , the allocation of IP addresses and routing, the issue of Internet abuse, DNS (Domain Name System) and ENUM as well as new information from the area of IXPs (Internet Exchange Points).
“This is the third time the RIPE Meeting has been held in Prague. Technically oriented seminars are conveniently accompanied by evening social gatherings and despite the current problems in air traffic the meeting will again be a great opportunity for local companies to enter into contact and to meet other participants face to face.” says Mr Tomáš Maršálek, Director of NIX.CZ Association.
