2003-01-20NIX.CZ has become a member of the Association of European peering nodes (Euro-IX)

On 1/17/2003 NIX.CZ board has approved joining the Euro-IX association (www.euro-ix.net). The benefits of Euro-IX membership for NIX.CZ will be:

- exchange of operational know-how with other members
- procedure standartization
- taking participation in joint projects (security, monitoring)
- a database of HW/SW and network structure within EU scope
- readiness to compatibility by Czech Republic joining the EU


About NIX.CZ association
NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o. (professional association of legal entities) is an association of notable Czech Internet Service Providers (ISP). The objective of the association is to support a neutral interchange (peering) node (Neutral Internet Exchange), facilitating mutual interconnection of member Internet networks (peering). Another objective is the protection of common interests of Internet-type network operators in Czech Republic.
NIX.CZ, z.s.p.o. is a member of EURO-IX association of European, Asian and American Internet nodes.
