NIX.CZ has launched a Partnership Program for smaller or local companies
Prague, 12 November 2013 – The Czech Internet eXchange Point NIX.CZ has launched a Partnership Program which aims to make it possible for smaller or local companies to connect to NIX.CZ. This offer can be used by businesses whose traffic is less than 1GE and who find it interesting to connect to a peering node. Currently, the contractual partners of the program include Atrato IP Networks, ČD Telematika, Kaia Global Networks Ltd., Slovak SITEL and Telefónica O2.
"In order to become a member or a customer of NIX.CZ and thus benefit from all the opportunities that this membership brings, every company must meet a number of requirements. This partnership program has been introduced for smaller entities that fulfill these requirements but did not find this connection financially attractive. This program will enable them to connect to our node through our contractual partners. Also, this method makes our cooperation much easier," explains Martin Semrád, Director of NIX.CZ.
More information is available on the website of NIX.CZ ( www.nix.cz/cz/carriers ), which also contains contact details of contractual partners that are ready to provide further details. The program was launched at the beginning of the year and is expected to continue in the years to come.

Since the conference was organized in cooperation with our colleagues from VIX.at from Vienna - and we plan to maintain this partnership - we have decided to organize next year's conference in the Austrian capital". He continued, pointing out that: "Currently we are preparing the programme of the conference and we are approaching potential speakers for the event. We are gradually publishing information on the conference's well-known website, http://www.peeringday.eu, which is already up and running."
The programme of the second annual Peering Day conference is of relevance to industry specialists, namely the representatives of peering nodes, Internet Service Providers, cloud solutions and data centre specialists active in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. Naturally, the conference will not only provide an opportunity to share one's professional experience but will also serve as an excellent hub for networking with fellow professionals in the field.
